We paid alot of money for a bathroom set up for disabled people. We expected a tv in the bedroom too. The room was too hot. There was no Hotel information book. We asked for one and still did not get it.
It was convenient to suit my needs for a business stay.
The lack of parking and the small carpark bays.Scrapped car on pole trying to get in bay one night (though can't blame hotel for my error) and no room in carpark the next. Abrupt response from reception and lack of offer to help suggest alternative parking when rang to say carpark was full.
Location is good and for a family group such as our's was it was great
Air conditioner a bit noisy
Very comfortable apartment, & very clean.
Didnt say the pool is not heated in winter, so kids could not go in as was freezing cold.
The best thing about this motel was the the great location. We were close to the shops, the foreshore and the nightlife. The staff at the desk were very polite and all charges were made clear up front, so no surprise expenses when checking out. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
The pillows were not very comfortable. Coffee and tea facilities were provided but no milk, we had to go to the shop before having a coffee. If you are a coffee drinker you wouldn't want to discover that first thing in the morning! The room with the pool in is heated but the pool is ice cold. These are all very minor things and the overall experience was excellent.
The idea with the mantra of the day was very inspiring ...
the facility is good and help us a lot.
The room he gave me is so terrible that the air-conditioner is out of work. We asked him to change another room,he refused irritively at first. After a long-time argued, he did change another room with central-airconditioned. When we got another room,it was already 3am. That made us a bad mood on the bigining of the trip, you know our son is just 3. When he fall asleep it was 4am after a long time flight. The other things are good.
The space of the apartment was excellent. It was a home away from home after day each day of exploring Perth and Freemantle. Mantra is centrally located and has two supermarkets within walking distance if you decide to self cater.
The car park is dreadful to negotiate with a larger car/4wheel drive or mini van. The car park is only suitable for small cars. Even worse the driveway in the side street should not be used under any circumstances i.e. the entrance and exit. When exiting via the side street - the extremely curved driveway is also very narrow. The back of the commodore wagon we hired brushed against a post on the curve of the driveway. This happened on the second time we exited the car park and was an accident waiting to happen. We then swapped to a smaller car which was easier but you still had to be very careful. Only hire a small car when staying at the Mantra and only ever use the Hay Street Entrance and Exit. May sure that you have insurance to cover the hire car excess as they charge you the excess for each time you have an accident (however small).
The bed in the master bed room was very comfortable. Having kitchen and laundry facilities is also very handy, especially for an extended stay.
Having to pay for parking even though we had s room isn't great. Also, We used the fold out lounge and found used sheets still on the bed.
size of the rooms, very spacious.
we only stayed one night, we had no complaints
The pleasant and courteous staff at the front desk of the hotel when checking in and checking out
the staff were very helpful and friendly, the room were great they up graded our room to a 2 bedroom. They had balconies so that is always a plus for me.
Had a look at the menu for the restaurant and was not impressed so dinned at they other Mantra on Murray.
I booked a 1-room apartment for the 2nd and 3rd nights but was upgraded to a 2-room apartment which was great! Much better and more spacious than the original standard hotel room I stayed in the first night.
Could have been more generous with the linen and toiletries, perhaps include a proper handtowel and body lotion in addition to the shampoo and conditioner? Water pressure in the shower was also a bit erratic.
The room was very comfortable. Staff were very pleasant. Handy for shopping, nightlife and even for family trips. I would recommend a stay at the Mantra.
It had two separate bedrooms, with decent beds in each one, was close to the airport, places to eat and shop and was very reasonably priced. Staff also very helpfull.
Car park is a little tight for bigger cars, but there is pickup/dropdown parking outside and other car parks near by.
